Remember the popular Eken H9 action camera I reviewed and subsequently used on many fishing videos? Eken has released another action camera, this time the upgraded Eken H8R . How much should an action camera with 4k video cost? $200? $100? $60? How about $ 4 6 ? The Eken H9 Action Camera is simply the cheapest 4K video option on the block today. It is really shocking how the price on these action cameras has dramatically dropped just over the last year. Still, what use is a 4K camera if it doesn't hold up under use? Next up in our review series on affordable action cameras and GoPro alternatives is the Krazilla Sports action camera . I was fortunate enough to take it on several fishing and outdoor trips recently and wanted to share my thoughts on this compact action camera. (More after the jump + videos) The Krazilla action camera features 1080p and 720p HD video recording at 140 degrees wide angle lens, with a waterproof case and nice 1.8" LCD display viewfinder on the back. I love action cameras, especially affordable ones. While GoPro often comes to mind when action cameras are discussed, there is actually a huge number of options available for anglers on the market today. One of the most exciting and affordable action cameras today is the SJ4000. It has been extremely well-received online, with multiple reviewers praising it . So, it's only fitting I feature this intriguing GoPro-alternative in our continuing review series on affordable action cameras.  (Read on after the jump!) First Impressions: After unboxing the SJ4000, you'll notice a nice, rubberized grip surface. It comes in a variety of colors; but the black version (shown above) seems to be the most common. Camera is light but doesn't feel cheap. Buttons are fairly simple, a good thing for easy recording, with a power/menu button on the front, record on top, and up/down/wifi selector on the side. The Whistler Rush action camera is a intriguing addition to the action camera market. I was able to take it on several fishing trips and capture a variety of footage in challenging conditions. How did it perform? Read on for the full review of the Whistler Rush action camera.  The Whistler Rush films at 1080p/30fps, 720p/60fps. The 170 degree viewing angle is cut down to a 127 with the 1080p video. Camera has 5.0 M CMOS sensor, f/2.8 6-layer glass lense, with H.264 compression. Photos are 8 MP. Dual Micro SD card slots are available (neat touch!), allowing for even more recording options, in addition to a built-in dash cam feature for on/off recording with ignition. There is also a white LED light on the front that can be used to better iluminate subjects, another unique touch on the Rush action camera.
